I've been awaiting this moment for the last 10 years but finally, I can proudly say:
I reached the top of the official medal ranking.

10 years of non-stop grinding, entire nights awaken (thanks insomnia), rains of virtual achievements, new friendships with fellow medal hunters, highs, lows, depressions and one clear goal in my mind: to finish something I started.
I remember back in the day, seeing Nijsse alone at the top, it seemed like climbing Mount Everest to ever reach him, let alone surpass him. It feels like yesterday. It's sad to see many old faces fall down in the ranking due to their inactivity, but fortunately there have been some new ones that have appeared in the last years, the most remarkable being qwerty, Magnus, JimmyCarlos, among many others. It proves that web games are still alive and kicking.
Well, next stop is... 1 million points. It doesn't feel real to say it. But to be fair, I'll probably slow down a bit from now on, since I am still jobless and that should change as soon as possible. I achieved what I never imagined I would achieve, so I am now at peace. Amereep can still reclaim their throne and their status of "king of having no life" ;)
Aaand that's it. Long live Newgrounds, Flash and almighty Tom.
Congratulations, I can't believe it took you 10 years to get to this point.
Farewell, Amerep, you are no longer a king.
Thanks! To be fair I actually started in 2014 by playing a few medal games every now and then but it wasn't until late 2016 that I decided to go up a gear.
